Garden Party 22

Tonight we went to Garden Party 22. I volunteered for drink ticket sells. Over 1,200 people came out to Pier 54 for the LGBT Yearly Fundraiser. It such a great cross section of the community- women and men, old and young, butch and femme, black and white, over the top and quite conservative. The weather was incredible. I need a night to recover, but tomorrow is David Letterman. Oh my!!

Broadway Bares

This is shaping up to be a busy week. Tonight we went to “Broadway Bares” a fundraiser for Broadway Cares. It was a burlesque show of sorts with stars from Broadway and incredible dance numbers. Bruce Vilanch, Tim Curry, Christina Applegate, David Hyde Pierce, Jai Rodriguez and Dr. Ruth Westheimer we special guest. The numbers were incredible choreographed and there was quite a bit of skin, oh my. The event raised over $600,000 to fight HIV and AIDS. There’s still no cure, we have to keep fighting.
